Ireland- 9 day Itinerary
Ireland is one of the most beautiful countries I have ever been to. Every corner consists of scenic landscapes, mountain views, ocean shorelines, stone walls and abandoned castles. There are so many breathtaking sights to see that you might be overwhelmed with where to start. I am going to highlight some of the must see destinations for your next trip to Ireland. How to get around Ireland We booked a flight to Dublin and from there rented a car so we could drive up the coast and explore the entire country. You can rent a car directly from the airport or if you are spending a few days in Dublin you will probably get a better rate renting from the…

Barcelona, Spain
Happy Tuesday everyone! I took a quick trip to Barcelona in May 2017 and it has to be one of my favorite cities in Europe. Why did I love it so much? When you walk through the city there are musicians on every corner. There are artists lining the streets and performers that are singing, dancing or performing acrobats in the main square. The food is delicious and the architecture is just fascinating. Where should I stay in Barcelona? I stayed in Las Ramblas and I really think it was the perfect place to stay. We were able to walk to nearby restaurants and shops. There is also a food market that is very close by with amazing pastries, fresh…

12 Hours in London
If you’re attempting to fly across the world from the US chances are that you are going to end up with a stop over in a European city. Many times the stop over ends up being a lot longer than you anticipated. Usually I just stay at the airport and grumble about the fact that I’m stuck there with nothing to do but a friend of mine convinced me that even layovers can turn into mini adventures. On my trip to South Africa we had a 12 hour layover in London. I didn’t think we would be able to get much done in 12 hours but I was wrong. My friend had a jam packed itinerary for us and we…

Italian Food Tour
I love Italian food! My favorite dessert of all time is Tiramisu. I could eat pizza and pasta everyday, three times a day, forever. Italy was a dream come true for me. If you love to eat read on for recommendations on some of the best food I’ve ever had. Lets start from the beginning. My very first Italian pizza was actually at the airport in Rome. It was the size of my head and yes I did eat it for breakfast. After we finally arrived in Naples we made a quick stop to La Masadona. This is the home of the fried pizza crust and even though it’s fried it is incredibly light and not too heavy. …

48 hours in Paris
I am in love with Paris and I can’t wait to plan a trip back. I only really had two full days to explore (which is why I’m only wearing one outfit in most of my pics) but I definitely made the most of it. I booked at room at Le Parisis Hotel and it did not disappoint. The room had a view of the Eiffel tower from my window! Even the little bathroom amenities were high quality. The location was within walking distance to the Eiffel tower and there were plenty of restaurants nearby. Prior to arriving in Paris I booked a hop on hop off bus pass with Big Bus Paris. I went on this trip with my…

All of these things will launch Paris to the top of any wanderer’s travel list but there’s one thing that makes the city of lights an inevitable destination for fashionistas….the shopping of course! For years I was buying all of my European designer handbags and shoes in the US at full price. Then I learned about the one small thing that has had the biggest impact on my closet in the last two years. VAT refunds! Here’s the beginner’s guide to saving hundreds on designer items. What is a VAT refund? VAT stands for “Value Added Tax” and it is a tax that is…
